Description of Services:
SEARCH operates a one-stop shop for individuals and families who are homeless. We offer street outreach and a day shelter which provides showers, laundry faciilities, phone and mail services, breakfast and hot lunch. Employment services are also available. SEARCH also operates an accredited early childhood development center. HHH (Healthcare for the Homeless Houston) Clinic Services include general care and podiatry, as well as psychological and psychiatric services. You must have a homeless letter (from an organization other than SEARCH) to access these services and you cannot have any form of health insurance already (i.e. hospital district eligibility, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.). If you do not have an appointment you may be able to access the clinic as a walk-in. Please note, however, that SEARCH staff never knows when the clinic will be accepting walk-ins. HHH Dental Clinic Provides APPOINTMENT ONLY dental care to clients that do not have any form of insurance (hospital district eligibility, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.), have a homeless letter (from an organization other than SEARCH) and have passed a medical screening in the HHH health clinic. Dental appointments are only made after someone has had a physical examination in the medical clinic.
